There are still a vast number of swimmers who are NOT adhering to the dress code for medal presentations. Please remind your swimmers of the following rules for ALL medal presentations, regardless whether it is a Club Hosted gala, League gala or SC and LC Champs.
- ALL swimmers will be neatly dressed in Club Clothing: track suit or club t-shirt and shorts
- No swimmer will be allowed on the podium with just a top or towel!
- No bare feet
- All swimmers WILL make their way to the podium quickly - the majority of the swimmers know whether they have medalled or not
- Too many swimmers are taking their time and strolling to the podium very nonchantly and holding up the medal presentation.
- If the swimmers are wearing a peak or beenie, he/she will remove it as they step onto the podium - the same applies to iPods with earphones
- These rules have been round for a very long time but the situation is deteriorating drastically!
- It is up to the Clubs to see that their swimmers adhere to the ruling!
The above rules should be adhered to when our swimmers are representing their Club/Province at other Provincial meets.
